According to Prince George’s County Police, officers responded around 3:30 p.m. to reports of gunfire across several locations in northern Prince George’s County, including areas near Riverdale, College Park, and Greenbelt. Officials described the situation as a “critical incident” involving multiple scenes and rapidly developing circumstances.

Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle crash and flip over near 67th Avenue and Patterson Street before an individual allegedly exited the vehicle carrying a long gun and began firing. Shell casings were reportedly found scattered across the roadway as officers secured the scene and searched for suspects.

Investigators later confirmed that at least two individuals were hospitalized as a result of the shootings, with one victim reported to be in critical condition. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victims or released additional details regarding the extent of the injuries.

Police also confirmed that one suspect was taken into custody following a pursuit that reportedly ended in Greenbelt.
