With heavy hearts, the community mourns the tragic passing of Brother Ali Kawsara, whose life was lost in a devastating aircraft accident while serving in his role as a pilot. His passing has left his family, friends, and the wider Alhedayah community in profound grief, as they come to terms with the loss of a beloved son, brother, and member of the ummah.
Brother Ali is being remembered as a young man of purpose, dedication, and service. That he was piloting a medical aircraft at the time of the حادث (tragedy) speaks volumes about the kind of person he was—someone committed to helping others, even in demanding and high-risk circumstances. His work was not just a profession, but a خدمة (service), reflecting compassion and responsibility toward those in need.
Those who knew him speak of his character with deep respect and love. He was known as kind-hearted, respectful, and grounded in his faith. His presence brought comfort to those around him, and his actions reflected sincerity and humility. Whether within his family or the broader community, he left an impression that will not be forgotten.
This loss is especially тяжел for his parents, Sabah Kawsara (Abu Jamal) and Fatima, and for all members of the Kawsara family. The pain of losing a child and brother in such sudden circumstances is immeasurable. Yet, in this moment of grief, the community stands united in duʿā’, asking Allah ﷻ to envelop Brother Ali in His mercy, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him the highest مقام in Jannatul Firdaws.
We also pray that Allah ﷻ grants his family صبر جميل (beautiful patience), strength, and comfort, and that He replaces their sorrow with reward and reunion in the Hereafter. The love and support of the community remain with them as they navigate this difficult time.
As arrangements for the janāzah prayer are being organized, the community is encouraged to remain connected, to attend if able, and to continue making sincere duʿā’ for Brother Ali.
Though his life was cut short, Brother Ali Kawsara’s legacy is one of service, faith, and compassion. He will be remembered with love, respect, and prayers by all who knew him.
